"This Is Our Story" featuring the full cast

The Chenango Valley Theater Guild had a fantastic weekend performing Shrek the Musical this past weekend (March 15-17)! They have been working hard since December, and their hard work paid off. I was able to see their final performance on Sunday, and the talent was clear to everyone in the audience. From the vocals, to the acting, to the orchestra, to the set design and props, this production was an absolute delight!

I am particularly proud of these high schoolers because I was able to be their Vocal Coach and Acting Coach for this production. For the first few months of their rehearsal process, I would work with the principals on their solo songs and give free voice lessons to any members of the cast who would like help. I also gave a masterclass on Acting Through Song for the cast. In this masterclass, we were able to talk about tools the singers can use to bring the songs and their characters to life.

Overall, I am so incredibly proud of this cast for their hard work and dedication to putting on an incredible musical. I look forward to next year's production and wish the best to all the graduating seniors!
